Long time coming!!

Oh my goodness I havent posted in so long as my laptop is dying a slow death I keep on trying but it takes 15 minutes just to load the bloggers webpage never mind upload photos etc! Then a light bulb went off in my head to use my brothers beautiful Imac! Why I never thought of this before I never know!! Anyway I went to New York at the start of June and wanted to share all the lovely stuff I bought and some photos of the holiday too :) . It was such a good holiday, me and my Boyfriend went as our 21st are a couple month apart and he finished uni as well (he found out he got a 2:1 while we were in New York yay!!!)

When we first got there is was kinda rainy then it poured, luckily I had just bought a rain mac from Topshop before I went, that day was definetly our shopping day and we went to the museam that they filmed 'Night in the Museam' in which was good. After that the sun was shining so we got loads of photos (most of which David has but he is currently in South America Travelling so I havent uploaded them to my Facebook yet!)

Now onto the important stuff what I bought!! I am really fussy when it comes to clothes so I didn't really buy much just a couple of tops from Forever 21! My Mum and God parents gave me money for my 21st that I changed into dollars and planned on buying myself something from Tiffanys I have always wanted a ring with a black stone so I bought myself a ring from their Great Gatsby Collection and a little necklace which has my initial engraved on it

I also bought boat shoes and a pair of raspberry coloured boots from Steve Madden. They are everywhere in New York it is great and I love how the price they are in dollars you get charged in pounds over here so a lot of savings were made. Which I found the same with the make-up.

The make up I purchased were:
Mac: "Up the Amp" and "Chatterbox" Lipstick; "Haute and Naught", and "Zoom Lash" mascara; Studio Fix Fluid NC20 foundation I changed to this from Studio Sculpt and I am really preferring it and finally the eye shadow palette is called "Rainy Day" and is from their Orange collection I had coral shellac and my Lady Danger lipstick on so I was already one step ahead when she picked this palette for me!
Laura Mercier: Mineral foundation primer which i really like compared to benefits porefessional which I used to wear and their tinted moisturiser which I used every day its light coverage but I like how you dont look caked with it on.
I am going to do a more in depth post on the make up soon.

I hope you liked my pictures has anyone else had a holiday make up or clothes haul?

Boots Haul

I love boots simply for the points. It's that bad I would rather pay the extra that Boots sometimes charge so I can get my points. I was so close to having enough points to be able to buy my favourite false eye lashes (Eyelure 110 Naturalites) so I bought a few essentials to take my points up.

I love this Essie nail polish in Fiji, it is really girly and in work I can mostly get away with nude colours this one is more like a blossom which I surprisingly got away with in work on a Saturday as well! (My supervisor loved it as well). It had a really good staying power but does need two coats I would say. I have been needing a top coat as well so I bought this Rimmel 5 in 1 which I love. It is a base coat, top coat and nail strengthener as well. This top coat does exactly what its meant to my nails were so weak as I did my own acrylics (disaster) and i buffed them then put this top coat over them and they were amazing even when i took it off they were still feeling soft and not that dry way that nails can sometimes go after removing nail polish. Would recommend this to anyone.

Sadly, when I came to take the photos for this blog my darling niece had gotten into my make up and the eye liner has become M.I.A!! you can see it on the Bourjois wedsite here. I am not a keen eyeliner person mostly because I always feel mines never matched so stayed clear away from it. Then I saw this Bourjois Intuitive Liner and Bourjois said this one is for beginners so I thought I would give it a go. It is a 3 pronged brush and the instructions say join up the dots but when I did that I felt it still looked dotty. When I sweeped it along my eye I felt it gave a great line rather that dotting it along.
Has anyone else had a boots haul or new polishes that I should try?

April Empties

This is my first empties post so I was quite excited when I realised that I could actually do it. For this month I have:

1. Mac Studio Sculpt NC20
2. Gucci by Gucci
3. James Brown volume conditioner
4. Batiste dry shampoo in graffiti
5. Benefit They're Real mascara

1. Mac Studio Sculpt NC20. This is my favorite foundation it gives me so much coverage even hides my redness and I have to use little concealer when I am wearing this foundation. I am hoping to get it in a different shade next time to tone done the yellowness of it.

Repurchase: Yes but not until New York.

2. Gucci by Gucci. I got this as a present from my boyfriend's mum for my Christmas and it has grown on me. I am always changing my perfume (except my Chanel Chance) because I hate when they become popular and you can smell them off everyone. I normally go for sweet floral perfumes so this was a nice change as it is quite musky, for me anyway. I would say it is a more night time perfume because of the muskiness.

Repurchase: Probably not but I still have another 30ml to go through.

3. James Brown Volume Conditioner. I have very oily roots and dry ends. This conditioner is a god send as it doesn't dry out my hair and doesn't drag it down unlike some conditioners. It is also really good for the volume as it doesn't make your hair soft that you are not able to do anything with it.

Repurchase: Yes

4. Batiste dry shampoo in graffiti. Every girls best friend especially if your hair takes ages to dry after you wash it so you like to skip a couple of days without washing your hair. I didn't really like the smell of this one it was a bit over bearing and it made my hair more grey than normal. This is the last scent in the collection that I had to try. In my opinion Cherry is the best one it is the nicest smelling one and actually makes your hair smell nice and has the least whiteness.

Repurchase: yes but not this scent.

5. Benefit They're Real mascara. I was so upset when I went to use this mascara and it was all clumped up. I've been using drug store mascara to tide me over until New York but nothing compares to how this separates your eyelashes and lengthens them.

Repurchase: Yes

Primark Beach Look

I am trying to cut down on my spending but I am not doing very well. I was in Primark last week and saw this lovely swimsuit that my mum encouraged me to buy so technically it is her fault! :) I have been wanting a swimsuit for years but never actually bought one. Then when I saw this one for £8 I just had to get it.

It is so girly and will be good if I get burnt (most likely) I will be able to cover up for a day or so. I also bought this little sundress for £7 which will be good for going to breakfast or a walk. Has anyone got their summer wardrobe yet?

Back to blogging

I finally got back to blogging after a very long time (nearly a year). I have left uni and start a new course in September so I thought with my time off I should get back to my blog. I decided to start with fake tan as it is hopefully coming into better weather and people will be wanting that bronze look for getting the pins out.

My favourite day to day fake tan is Garnier Summer body. I only started using this in February and I am in love with it. After two days you have a lovely glow and it doesn't take that long to dry in either. The only downside is that it smells quite strong after you have been using it for a couple of days.
Morrisons £2.99

The tan I use whenever I go out is St. Moriz. I adore this simply because it is so cheap and you go brown instantly. It dries so quickly as well so you don't need to worry about waiting ages about going to bed for it drying. If you hate the fake tan smell I would not advise you to buy this as it is quite strong.

Semi-Chem £2.99

Whenever I splurge on fake tan I always buy Xen Tan deep bronze luxe. It smells amazing and gives you this gorgeous colour which is more like an L.A tan rather than a week in Benidorm tan which I would recommend  for people who don't normally wear fake tan as it wont be such a drastic change. I buy it from the sunbed shop Hot but if you don't have one near you you can buy it here and its free delivery.
Hot Taning Salon £21.95

Finally, I stopped putting St.Moriz on my face as my eyebrows were turning ginger and my blackheads really showed up so I bought Garnier face mist in light. For me it was too light, will buy the darker one next time, so I would suggest building it up over a couple of days for a dark look but I cant complain about it no ginger eyeborws or bad blackheads. It was on special in boots and I cannot remember for the life of me how much I paid for it was just over £5 I think.
Boots £5+
Have you tried any of there tans? Let me know what your favourite tan is!
